A summer’s day in 1900 sees the disappearance of three private school girls and their teacher. After arriving at Hanging Rock on a school picnic expedition, the group wanders off, never to be seen again…
Tom Wright has adapted Joan Lindsay’s classic novel into a chilling rendition that explores mystery and grief. We follow the townsfolk and their attempt to solve the mystery of the girls’ disappearance. As they delve into the disappearance, the communities’ grasp on reality becomes unstable.
Freeroam have assembled some of the most exciting creative minds from around the Riverina and paired them with emerging local talent to bring you this Australian classic with a modern flavour.

The production was outstanding! The eerie music went so well with the whole production. The use of projection in the background gave another layer of meaning to the work and the casting was terrific!
